Restylane® Facial Augmentation

For patients new to facial augmentation, or who want to fill out their lips and cheeks, we are pleased to offer Restylane®. It is the first and only cosmetic dermal filler made of non-animal based hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body and is used to provide volume and fullness to the skin. Restylane® is a safe and revolutionary injectable treatment that fills out creases and contours of the face.The most common areas for treatment include the lips, nasolabial folds (the smile lines that go from corner of the nose to mouth) and drooping corners of the mouth.

Restylane® is not to be confused with BOTOX® because their actions are different, but they work very well in combination in some areas of the face. Perlane® is used for sculpting and lifting larger areas of the face, whereas Restylane® Fine Lines is used for filling small lines such as vertical lines of the upper lip or furrowed creases around the forhead.

Restylane® is preferred over traditional collagen for facial augmentation because a skin test is not required, it layers in very evenly in the facial soft tissue, has minimal bruising, and there are no allergic side effects. Most importantly, it can last around six months but individual results may vary.
